Directions:
- Mix the fish, 4 carrots and 2 1/2 onions together.
- Bring a wooden bowl.
- Place fish mixture in that bowl.
- Add eggs on it.
- Also add 1 1/2 tablespoons sugar, white pepper and slat.
- Now continue to chop until it well blended.
- Now take a medium bowl and place ice water in it.
- Stir that mixture in ice water.
- Add matzo meal then chop again.
- You have to check mixture if its thick enough to bind together to make an oval gefilte fish ball if not then we have to add more matzo meal.
- In this time Take large two pot and place water in it.
- Into each pot slice one raw onion and one sliced carrot.
- You can add fish skins if you like it, otherwise leave.
- Sprinkle in salt, paprika, 2 tablespoons sugar and black pepper.
- This time we need a boil that have medium heat.
- Place those ingredients and boil it for 10 minutes.
- With wet hands shape the fish balls.
- Drop fish balls in to boiling stock carefully.
- Now cover the boil slightly and cook over medium heat.
- It may take 2 hours to complete this step.
- After 2 hours let fish sit in the pot for 10 minutes.
- Now remove pieces carefully to containers.
- Strain remaining stock over fish balls.
- Add some chill and serve.
