Ingredients :

Sifted cake flour2 1/4 cups
Baking soda1 teaspoon
Vegetable shortening1/2 cup
White sugar1 1/2 cups
Eggs2
Red food coloring1 bottle
Water1 fluid ounce
Unsweetened cocoa powder2 tablespoons
Buttermilk1 cup
Salt1 teaspoon
Vanilla extract1 teaspoon
Apple cider vinegar1 tablespoon
Milk2 cups
All-purpose flour1/4 cup
Butter, softened2 cups
Vanilla extract2 teaspoons
White sugar2 cups

Directions :
  • To prepare this delicious cake recipes, Preheat the oven to 175 degrees C. grease the cake pans.
  • Take a bowl, sift flour and baking soda.
  • Mash the vegetable shortening with sugar of 1 ½ cup in another bowl. Stir in eggs one by one, add food color and cocoa powder to this shortening mixture and stir well.
  • Add buttermilk and salt. Add vanilla extract and apple cider vinegar. Mix well. Combine it with shortening mixture prepared in step 3.
  • Add this batter to cake pans.

Red Velvet Cake Recipes
  • Bake in preheated oven for 30 to 35 minutes until toothpick comes clean.
  • Allow the cake to cool.
  • To make frosting, add milk and flour in a saucepan and bring to simmer. Mix thoroughly. Cook until the mixture is thick for 1 minute.
  • Pour this sauce into a bowl and chill for 30 minutes. Add butter and beat with mixture. Add vanilla extract and 2 cups of sugar.
  • Beat until fluffy.
