Aloo tikki with Punjabi Wadis

Ingredients :


Urad dal wadi                 
2 – 3
Oil                                
For frying
Green chilli

Onion

Beetroot                             
1
Coriander powder          
1 spoon
Cumin powder                    
½ spoon
Red chilli powder                 
½ spoon
Amchur powder                     
½ spoon
Salt                                       
Taste
Potato

Cornflour                        
2 spoons


Aloo tikki with Punjabi Wadis


Directions :

1.       Heat oil in a non-stick pan. Add green chilli, ginger and saute for a minute. Add onion and sauté till lightly coloured.
2.       Add beetroot, coriander powder, cumin powder, red chilli powder, dried mango powder and mix.
3.       Break the wadis with your hands and add to the pan.
4.       Transfer this mixture into a bowl. Add salt and mix well. Grate the potatoes in another bowl, add cornflour and mix well.

5.       Heat oil in a non-stick tawa. Dust some cornflour on your hands. 3
6.       Make balls of the potato mixture and make a dent in them. Put some of the wadi filling in the dent, gather the edges and seal.
7.       Roll into a ball and press lightly.Place the tikkis on the tawa and shallow fry on low heat till golden brown and crisp on both sides.
8.       Serve hot.
