Shoyu Chicken is really a popular Hawaiian dish. You can serve this Shoyu Chicken with white or brown rice. The word shoyu comes from Japanese soy sauce. You can serve this dish within 1 hours and 35 minutes. You need 35 minutes for cooking only. I am showing how you can prepare this delicious dish. Bellow I am giving the list of Ingredients.
Ingredients:
Grated fresh ginger root | 1 Tablespoon |
Skinless chicken thighs | 5 Pounds |
Water | 1 Cup |
Crushed red pepper flakes | 1 Teaspoon |
Onion, chopped | 1 |
Ground black pepper | 1 Tablespoon |
Soy sauce | 1 Cup |
Ground paprika | 1 Teaspoon |
Dried oregano | 1 Tablespoon |
Brown sugar | 1 Cup |
Ground cayenne pepper | 1 Teaspoon |
Cloves garlic, minced | 4 |
Directions:
- Bring large glass or ceramic bowl.
- Place soysauce, water, brown sugar, garlic, ginger, onion, oregano, black pepper, cayenne pepper, paprika and red pepper flakes.
- Mix those ingredients well.
- Add the chicken thighs and toss to evenly coat.
- Take some plastic wrap and cover the bowl.
- Now you have to marinate the chicken in a refrigerator for 1 ot 2 hours.
- Preheat an outdoor grill for medium heat and lightly oil the grate.
- Now remove chicken thighs from the marinade.
- Discard the remaining marinade.
- Grill the chicken thighs on the preheated grill for 15 to 20 minutes.
